Salaam, hi, merhaba and welcome to Lullaby Bloom’s Blog! This comes as an honest Blog from me, as a mum, learning what works and doesn’t work with my babies!

For those who haven’t read any of my Blogs before, I’m Nadira, a mum of two and have been working in the Sustainability sector for over 15 years now!

Quick Intro - It’s funny as I never expected to end up owning my own business even just a few years ago, let alone an Award winning, innovative, sustainable babywear small business! And even more unexpected was me becoming an Inventor, once again something I never had even thought about a few years ago.

I want to keep this Blog short and sweet as I know that parents don’t have seconds to spare, let alone minutes to read too much!! But this will be worth it, I promise!

Qu 1: Have you heard about the Peek-a-Boo Flap™ from Lullaby Bloom?!

You may have not heard about us yet, as we are a small business called Lullaby Bloom that launched in October 2025 and we're based in Dubai, and we deliver internationally too!

What makes us different from any other baby clothing company is our patent-pending Peek-a-Boo Flap™. It's a simple little feature, but one that can make a BIG difference to everyday life with a baby!

As parents, we're constantly checking whether a napp/diapery needs changing, especially during naps, bedtime and those lovely 3am wake-ups! 

The Peek-a-Boo Flap™ was designed by a mum (that's me!) to make those checks quicker, easier and less disruptive for both babies and parents!

Qu 2: What is the Peek-a-Boo Flap™?

The Peek-a-Boo Flap™ is a discreet fabric flap positioned over your baby's nappy wetness indicator.

Instead of undoing your baby's clothing, unzipping them or lifting layers to check their nappy, you simply lift the flap and take a quick peek underneath at the wetness indicator lines on the nappy/diaper!

That's it!

Simple? Yes.

Useful? Definitely!!

No unnecessarily exposing little tummies to cold air.

No fully unzipping a cosy sleeping baby.

No wondering whether you should risk waking them up just to check!

Just a quick peek... and you're done!

Qu 3: What are the benefits of the Peek-a-Boo Flap™?

As a mum of two, I didn't create the Peek-a-Boo Flap™ because it sounded clever. I created it because I genuinely wished it existed!!

Qu 4: Why was the Peek-a-Boo Flap™ created?

Honestly?.....Because I got fed up!!

Like many parents, I found myself constantly checking whether my son's nappy needed changing, especially when he was small (less than 6 months), who had sensitive skin, and so I regularly wanted to check and change his nappy.

I'd carefully creep into his room...

Try not to make a sound...

Slowly unzip his sleepsuit...

Check his nappy...

Zip everything back up...

And cross my fingers that he stayed asleep!!

Sometimes he did.

Sometimes he absolutely did not! 

After repeating this over and over again, I remember thinking...

"There has to be an easier way!"

When I couldn't find anything like it on the market, I decided to create it myself.

What started as a simple idea scribbled down by me as a tired mum has now become a patent-pending innovation, won international design awards, and is helping families discover a smarter way to dress their little ones.

Not bad for an idea that started during those sleep-deprived parenting days! 

And if you've ever stood over a sleeping baby wondering whether it's worth risking a nappy check... trust me... you'll understand exactly why the Peek-a-Boo Flap™ was born!!

After all, babies need their sleep...

And parents definitely do too!
